Message from our President

How about that Greyt Winter Festival! Having come on board with SA Greys right before the pandemic I never experienced the Greyt Winter Festival. When Nancy became the Operations Director that was one of the first items she mentioned she wanted to bring back and we are all glad she did.
Events such as the GWF and the BooRooUnion take a lot of coordination and planning so I want to thank all of those who help make events like these happen. In no particular order, my deepest gratitude to Nancy Lynberg, Karyn Zoldan, Alice Goddard, Deb and Terry Brack, Anne and Rudy Lopez, Ann Chihak Poff, Gloria Fernandez, Danielle Romero, Jeff Revolinski, Cindy Mueller, Heidi and Emily Giedraitis, Cynthia Guldberg, Claire Ramirez, James Rappaport, Abrie Schroeder and the many people who donated auction items. Again, many thanks to you all.
As we approach the month of April, we are gearing up for our biggest fundraiser of the year – Arizona Gives Day on Tuesday, April 1. The marketing/communications team is feverishly working on messaging via emails, Facebook and Instagram to request donations for all the ways we can help find our greyhounds loving homes like yours. As you will read below, we just brought in three farm dogs from Kansas and one is a lovely special needs boy named Tiger.
Last year our goal was $15,000 and we exceeded that thanks to you. We also received a monetary bonus for a Power Hour. You will receive a lot of emails, but it’s only for one day so I hope you will hang on for the wild ride.
Would you consider doing a match? If you would like to do a match for the first Power Hour, which is at 7 a.m. with donations of $100 or more; or for the second Power Hour at 3 p.m. with donations of $50 or more, please contact nancy@sagreys.org. Last year we had $500 matches for both Power Hours.
Also, does your employer match your donations? Now is the time to contact HR and find out.
If you want to memorialize or honor someone special, we are happy to send them a card sharing your thoughtful generosity.
Last year was one of the best Arizona Gives Day in the history of SA Greys and I am hoping we are as fortunate this year.
