Greyt Global Greyhound Walk
The Great Global Greyhound Walk is a worldwide celebration of greyhounds, galgos, podencos, lurchers, whippets, Italian greyhounds and other sighthounds. Join us at 8 a.m. at Brandi Fenton Memorial Park (3482 E. River Road, Tucson, AZ 85718) for a group walk to start at 8:30. We will gather at the Ramada in the Commons Area (circled in red, east of the Equestrian Facility, where we hold the BooRooUnion) and plan to walk around Recreational Field 2. We will have flags representing hounds from the U.S., Mexico, Ireland and Australia. If you still have your flag from last year, bring it. If not, grab a new one. We ask that if you don’t want to keep your flag to return it to a volunteer at the end of the walk. We will try to herd everyone for a group photo that will be seen across continents. This annual event helps to raise awareness of sighthounds as gentle and loving pets and it promotes adoption. Information about our walk can be found here.
