Parade of Lights 2018
December 15 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm MST
The Parade of Lights & Festival is Downtown Tucson’s premier holiday event that brings together the entirety of the local community from all walks of life to celebrate not just the spirit of the Winter season, but also the unique culture of the Tucson community. The parade this year is set on Saturday, December 15th, 2018 and will proceed starting from the intersection of Church Avenue and Alameda Street throughout the core of downtown, weaving through the illuminated trees and buildings.
SA Greys has been accepted to walk with our hounds in the parade again this year! We hope you will sign up with your greyhound if you and he/she are able to walk for a mile or so and won’t mind noise and children. Each hound must be lighted in some way and it is usually cold, so a jacket, holiday costume, or something warm to wear is highly encouraged for people and hounds. If you have a lighted collar, jacket, leash, and/or hat for your hound, please bring them; if you need to borrow a lighted jacket or lights, please indicate below. We will do an email to participants letting you know the arrangements for borrowing jackets or lights, as they must be picked up and readied for your hound before arriving at the event.
If you would like to join SA Greys in parading with your hound, please sign up – you’ll have a greyt time and this gives our community another chance to see our wonderful hounds!! The approximate meeting time is 6pm, but we will update participants as soon the parade organizers assign us our actual starting time.
